Organized, executed, and sustained by volunteer effort, QuakeCon is first and foremost a community of gamers. We're brought together by a common love for gaming, and the desire to share our passions.
For some, this means playing in a world class tournament. For others it means the opportunity to meet and interact with game developers. But for most, it means fragging their friends on our massive Bring Your Own Computer network.
In addition to a community gathering, QuakeCon is also a celebration. We believe that meeting face-to-face provides a level of enjoyment impossible online.
Our partner, id Software, provides a wealth of resources and support for the QuakeCon community as a "thank you" to the fans of their games. Together we provide the largest LAN event in North America, celebrating gaming and each other. It is quite a party!
Our event schedule is updated to keep you right on top of what's happening at QuakeCon.
You can also subscribe to our calendars and have the latest schedule piped directly to your favorite calendaring solution or mobile device!
The QuakeCon BYOC is unlike any other gaming experience. We've prepared a quick primer with a BYOC floorplan, "loud areas" overlay, descriptions of BYOC features new for 2009, and some guidelines to prepare for BYOC attendance.
If you have any questions about what your BYOC experience will be like, or how to prepare, then you should start here with this guide.
